Don't die too young
You won't regret it tho...
If you're reading this, I'm glad you're alive and well.
I haven't written a newsletter in a while as life has been doing what life does best—throwing punches—but I'm here today because I'm meant to be, and so are you.
Living alone is great, until you're burning up past midnight, struggling to breathe, and too weak to get out of bed.
I've been here before, so it's nothing new, not an epiphany, but a reminder that doesn't come often, like most valuable things. You may not like it here, but you most likely don't want to leave soon, not unless it's on your terms or what's closest to it.
I didn't realize it's Friday until exactly 7 minutes ago, and that's when it hit me. Everybody’s life is different, but live like we all have the same timelines, only to eventually realize that your life is yours, and if you don't take an active role in it, it'll become another life you wished you handled differently.
Don't die too young, you won't regret it tho, but you won't get to enjoy it either.
Damn! This cough again!
The past week was nothing like I thought it would be. I woke up energized to have a productive day, and went to bed shivering and sweating, with no one to ask for help, and too weak to pick up my phone to call anyone.
It wasn't the worst moment (nothing compared to my COVID-19 experience), but it was nothing short of breathtaking, literally.
While fighting for survival, two things kept resurfacing:
How beautifully impactful the last Real Talk Hub community meeting (X Spaces) was—special shout-out to Dave, Cristalebelle, and everyone whose presence made it wholesome.
How much I still have to do to fulfill my purpose here.
Oftentimes, it will not feel like your time here has any tangible meaning. I mean, you could give everything and still get the short end of the stick—single, depressed, broke, struggling to heal and recover, ended marriages, never found true love, no children, imperfect, unsuccessful by society’s standards, or plain ol’ unhappy.
Yeah, true for most people. In all these, don't die too young.
Man or woman, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. What matters is what you choose to do with what you've been given, or not given. How far and how much are you willing to surpass with the little or abundance you have? Not the money or superficial things now, but those matter too.
Your life is the most precious thing you got when you came into this Realm, Planet, World, Earth, or whatever it goes by these days.
Please, guard it jealously. Carefully curate who and what you want to feature in your life. Live freely, prioritize peace of mind, free your heart of hate, envy, or malice. Express your deepest, loneliest, and truest feelings with yourself, and flawlessly share those sacred feelings with the few souls who are deserving.
Two nights ago, in the heat of it all, I thought to myself, if it all ends tonight, will I be fine with it all? Yeah, for the most part, I’ve given it all I think I've got, and I know there's so much more to give, so I will keep living and giving till the end.
First, to my creator, then to me, then to you all who are deserving of everything beautiful.
My eyes are beginning to hurt again, but it will be unfair to us if I leave without this part:
If you have not loved yourself, how can you be mad that they didn't love you?
It's not an easy one to embrace at first, but sit with it, and you’ll feel it too. I learned to love myself before learning to appreciate myself, and I'm still learning to appreciate myself, but one thing I'm sure of is this;
I love you so much, and pray you have a peaceful life you are satisfied with even before it all ends. 🫂💛🫂

Sending love, Shivarr 💛
